Terms & Conditions

1. Scope

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern:

• the use of the website www.lansoir.club (“Website”),

• the purchase and use of the Lansoir Premium Experience Box (“the Box”),

• the redemption and use of activation codes,

• participation in the Initiation Experience and any Lansoir event,

• and the membership services offered under the brand Lansoir – Cigar Society (“Lansoir”).

Lansoir operates as a private members’ society. All experiences and events offered under the Lansoir brand are private gatherings reserved for eligible participants.

These Terms also apply to all digital services, online registration tools and member functionalities provided by Lansoir.

Consumers within the European Union benefit from all applicable statutory consumer rights.

By accessing the Website, redeeming a code, registering for an event or becoming a member, you agree to these Terms.

3. The Lansoir Premium Experience Box

The Box is sold exclusively through independent Authorized Retailers.

3.1 Contents

The Box includes:

• a unique activation code,

• a decorative tube,

• printed materials.

The Box does not contain cigars or tobacco products.

3.2 Nature of the Product

The Box entitles the holder to:

• register for one Initiation Experience, and

• activate a one-year membership in the Lansoir Society.

3.3 Withdrawal and Refund

• The sale of the Box is governed by the statutory consumer rights applicable between the consumer and the Authorized Retailer.

• Once the Box is opened, the right of withdrawal under Directive 2011/83/EU no longer applies, as opening reveals a unique activation code that cannot be returned for security and fraud-prevention reasons.

• Lansoir does not issue refunds for Boxes.

3.4 Code Validity

• The activation code does not expire.

• The rights unlocked by the code (Initiation Experience + one-year membership) remain fixed.

• To redeem the code, the user must expressly accept the Terms & Conditions in force at the moment of activation, regardless of when the Box was purchased.

4. Registration and Activation

Users must redeem the unique activation code online at the address indicated inside the Box.

4.1 Activation Rules

• Each code is personal, valid for one individual, and for one Initiation Experience.

• Registrations are nominative and non-transferable.

• Activation requires express acceptance of the Terms & Conditions in force on the activation date.

• Upon activation, users receive a confirmation email with their membership start date.

• Codes may not be resold, transferred, copied or used fraudulently; such use voids the code and any associated rights.

4.2 Modifications

Lansoir may modify, postpone or relocate experiences for operational, regulatory, safety or weather-related reasons.

5. Membership

Redeeming the activation code initiates a one-year membership in the Lansoir Society.

5.1 Membership Start

Membership begins on the date the activation code is redeemed, independently of the chosen date of the Initiation Experience.

5.2 Membership Features

Activation grants access to:

• the Members’ Area,

• the private event calendar,

• general member communications.

Full access to Lansoir benefits, including curated members-only events, is unlocked after completion of the Initiation Experience.

5.3 Evolution of Membership Rules

Membership rules, operational modalities and benefits may evolve over time.
The membership is governed by the Terms in force at the date of activation, not at the date of purchase of the Box.

5.4 Renewal

Membership may be renewed after the initial 12-month period under the conditions and pricing applicable at the time of renewal.

5.5 Suspension or Termination

Lansoir may suspend or terminate membership for just cause, including breach of the Lansoir Charter, unsafe behaviour or repeated misconduct.
Such termination does not entitle the member to reimbursement, without prejudice to statutory consumer rights.

6. Termination by the Member

Members may terminate their membership at any time by contacting Lansoir in writing or via the Website’s contact form.

• Termination becomes effective upon written confirmation by Lansoir.

• Access to member functionalities ceases upon termination.

• Personal data is deleted or anonymised in accordance with the Privacy Policy, except where legal retention is required.

• Termination does not affect rights or obligations accrued before termination.

7. Experiences and Events

Lansoir Experiences are private leisure events reserved exclusively for eligible participants.

7.1 Private Nature of Lansoir Events

Lansoir Experiences and events are organised strictly as private, members-only or invitation-only gatherings, accessible solely to members or other eligible participants.
Events are not open to the general public and are not publicly advertised.
This private nature ensures compliance with applicable smoking regulations, venue rules, and restrictions related to the promotion or consumption of tobacco products.

7.2 Booking Rules

• Any participation fees are displayed at registration.

• As these events constitute leisure services for a specific date, no right of withdrawal applies once booking is confirmed (Directive 2011/83/EU, Article 16(l)).

• Late cancellations or no-shows are non-refundable according to the cancellation policy displayed during registration.

7.3 Changes and Cancellations

If Lansoir cancels an event, participants will be offered a rescheduled date or an equivalent experience.

7.4 Behaviour

Lansoir may refuse access to any participant whose behaviour contradicts respect, safety or the values of responsible enjoyment.

7.5 Smoking Rules

Participants must comply with all applicable smoking regulations and venue-specific rules.

8. Image and Media Rights

Events may be photographed or filmed for communication purposes related to Lansoir.

• By attending an event, participants acknowledge they may appear in photos or videos used on official Lansoir channels (website, newsletters, social media).

• Participants who prefer not to appear may notify Lansoir before or during the event; reasonable efforts will be made to accommodate such requests.

9. Authorized Retailers

Authorized Retailers operate independently from Lansoir.

• Their details are listed on the Website.

• They are solely responsible for the sale of the Box and any consumer rights associated with the sale.

• Lansoir assumes no liability for transactions made with Authorized Retailers.

10. Age Restriction

Lansoir is strictly reserved for adults aged 18 years or older.
Age verification may be requested:

• at the time of Box purchase by the retailer,

• during online activation,

• or upon entry to events.

11. Intellectual Property

All content related to Lansoir (name, logo, website content, design elements) is protected under intellectual property law.

Lansoir – Cigar Society® is a registered trademark of Ewada Consulting Sàrl.

Any reproduction or commercial use without written authorization is prohibited.

12. Liability

• Participation in events is at the participant’s own risk.

• Lansoir cannot be held liable for cancellations due to force majeure, regulatory changes, venue restrictions or circumstances beyond its control.

• Lansoir is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from Website use or participation in events.

• Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where such exclusion is prohibited by law.

13. Personal Data

Personal data is processed in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (EU 2016/679) and the Lansoir Privacy & Cookies Policy.

14. Applicable Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by Luxembourg law.

Parties shall seek an amicable solution before initiating legal proceedings.
Any dispute shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Luxembourg City, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections applicable in the consumer’s country of residence.
